As Dragon Ball was experiencing its mid-2010s renaissance, no character received more of a popularity boost than Vegeta. As a Saiyan, the prince was always one of Dragon Ball's premier fighters, but never quite had the sort of backing that characters like Goku or even Gohan did during the days of Dragon Ball Z.
