However, Netflix's new thriller series, Wayward, tackles the legacy of these institutions head-on and with a touch of mystery. Created by and starring Mae Martin, the stand-up comedian who also crafted the romantic dramedy series Feel Good on Netflix, Wayward is a significant departure from their typical work. However, Martin brings their characteristic sense of humor and charm to the role of Alex, a young police officer who moves to the mysterious town of Tall Pines with his wife, Laura (Sarah Gadon).
