The 1990s were a golden age for anime, and nowhere was that more evident than in the unforgettable female characters that graced our screens. These women wre not just sidekicks, love interests, or damsels in distress, they were complex, powerful, flawed, and inspiring in ways many modern characters struggle to match. While today's anime is packed with strong heroines, the emotional depth, resilience, and originality of these ‘90s icons continue to outshine much of what we see now.
