A new Stephen King sci-fi adaptation already seems to have the perfect follow-up show on HBO. From a narrative standpoint, the sci-fi series follows a standalone Stephen King book that does not draw any connections to the author's other works. It is still hard not to see it as the ideal predecessor to an upcoming HBO series.
