Baldur's Gate 3 has some of the greatest and memorable characters of any modern RPG. From Shadowheart's mysterious devotion to Gale's magical affliction, the characters are layered, believable, and feel as human as they possibly could in a high-fantasy RPG based on Dungeons & Dragons. With Baldur's Gate 4 on the table (though without Larian Studios), the task of creating characters that live up to BG3's is a monumental challenge.
