I think it is fair to say that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimhas held an ironclad grip over the first-person fantasy RPG genre for quite some time, and rightfully so. It may seem like a bit of a niche sub-genre, but there is a huge demand for more games like it, evidenced by the fact that it still, all of these years later, remains one of the best-selling games of all time. People, myself absolutely included, adore Skyrim and want more of it, but, unfortunately, Bethesda isn't delivering.
