Spy shows usually flame out after a few episodes, but not Prime Video’s Jack Ryan, which had no right being this good. Here was a series that solidified John Krasinski (The Office) as the best Jack Ryan actor, and actually pulled off a grounded take. This was gripping, globe-trotting television that knew how to balance action with dipping into camp.
