Long Story Short Review: Netflix’s New Show From BoJack Horseman Creator Is Good, But It Can’t Compete With BoJack Yet

Netflix's newest animated TV show, Long Story Short, comes from Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the creator of BoJack Horseman, and the familiar bittersweet sting of his acclaimed series is everywhere in Long Story Short. However, it's obvious from the jump that Long Story Short is a much more personal project for Bob-Waksberg, and that while there will be some surreal, silly elements in the project, and plenty of comedy, it's rooted in the mundane. Following the experience of the Schwooper children in each phase of their lives, the series relies on its characters to keep the audience hooked.
