A new Emperor Palpatine retcon revealed by Andor creator Tony Gilroy makes Return of the Jedi's best scene even better. Though Palpatine never appeared in either season of Andor, his influence was felt throughout Cassian Andor's and the Rebellion's story of growth. How could it not, when Palpatine's Empire was responsible for so much oppression and suffering, the very suffering that the Rebels were trying to eradicate?
