Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson are the two central figures in most adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, and the BBC's Sherlock is no exception. However, Moriarty, Sherlock's greatest rival, always stands out in any screen iteration of the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Even when Moriarty isn't perfectly brought to life onscreen, it's impossible not to be captivated by this villain.
