Zelda's Iconic Companions Have Been Adopted By Mario & Donkey Kong

Nintendo created and stewards an astounding number of iconic gaming franchises, not the least of which is The Legend of Zelda. The fantasy adventure series has plenty of hallmarks, and would feel idiosyncratic if it weren't so widely influential. A particularly notable element found in numerous Zelda games has been commandeered by Nintendo's other franchises, mainly by two high-profile games in Super Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Bananza.
