The BBC’s Sherlock is a great TV show, but another Sherlock Holmes adaptation fixed a problem that hurt the detective in the BBC’s series. Created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes is one of the most popular literary characters ever. As such, the Great Detective and his cases have been adapted to all types of media for decades.
