There’s a reason Midnight Mass feels like it crawled right out of a Stephen King novel, even though it didn’t. Mike Flanagan’s seven-episode Netflix horror series plays out like a perfect storm of King’s greatest themes: an isolated community, flawed people wrestling with faith, and a terror that grows in the dark.
