RPGs are currently undergoing a renaissance. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has introduced a new subset of fans to the turn-based variant, while Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 provides an unparalleled open-world experience, the likes of which will make Ubisoft blush. That's not even mentioning the ubiquitous Baldur's Gate 3, the RPG to end all RPGs, or, at the very least, get more people into Dungeons and Dragons, something that will only ever be a good thing.
