Ghost of Yotei is exceptionally similar to its predecessor, the excellent Ghost of Tsushima, but a key departure is the sequel's introduction of melee weapons other than the katana for Atsu to wield. Atsu's myriad weapons effectively fill the same role as Jin Sakai's various stances – you quick-swap between them in battle to counter certain enemy types. Unlocking every weapon, however, is a task that spans most of the game.
