Procedurals have been a part of television since the dawn of television, but as mediums have diverged and streaming has begun producing their own case-of-the-week style series, there's a narrative choice that hammers home the difference between network and streaming offerings. As network TV procedurals have boomed in recent years, there's been an influx of show joining both sides of the lineup.
