The idea of a Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover movie has floated around Hollywood for many years. Even Dwayne Johnson wanted to make it at one point. But after not making any progress on that front, Paramount signaled that this mash-up was in audiences' futures with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' ending.
