Zack Snyder's plans for DC's most divisive villain being important for how the new DC Universe tackles its main villain structure is exciting, as the new franchise can succeed and distance itself from what came before. It has been made clear that the DCU's Chapter One is seen by the studio as a way to move DC into a different direction.
