A dark version of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 takes place in a different universe. Often regarded as the definitive Marvel movie and one of the best superhero movies in history, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 placed Doctor Octopus as a top-tier supervillain. Alfred Molina's Doc Ock wanted to push the boundaries of science, only to be turned into a monster by his own creations.
