Mark Ruffalo pulled off a fantastic performance as a very unconventional action hero in HBO's Task. This crime thriller subverts expectations around every corner, utilizing its excellent cast to do so. Of course, we couldn't expect anything less from creator Brad Ingelsby, who used an A-list cast for his previous HBO crime thriller, Mare of Easttown.
