Only hardcore Star Trekfans know how the crew of The Original Seriesreally said goodbye to the Enterprise. In its original incarnation, Star Trek touted a five-year mission in deep space for Captain Kirk and his iconic crew, but The Original Series ended after just three seasons, leaving the rest a mystery until Trek comics solved it decades later.
