A great horror sequel can deliver all the thrills of its predecessor, but one follow-up from the early 2000s is the worst sequel in horror movie history. Horror has produced more sequels than any other genre, and the format lends itself easily to long-running franchises. Monsters and slasher villains can return again and again, thus making sequels a necessity.
