With the fifth and final season wrapping up the story, the Stranger Thingstimeline is so twisty and complex that it needs considerable examination. Season 1 began in November 1983, with Stranger Things season 5's story set to stop in 1987. The ending of Stranger Things season 4 was a year earlier, in the spring of 1986.
