Tim Russ was surprised that Captain Tuvok survived Star Trek: Picardseason 3. Russ portrayed Lieutenant Commander Tuvok in seven seasons of Star Trek: Voyager from 1995-2001. After playing Tuvok in fan-created Star Trek projects, Russ canonically reprised Tuvok, now a Captain, in Star Trek: Picard season 3's finale.
