NCIS: Origins show boss clarifies Gibbs' true feelings for Diane amid his romance with Lala. After launching various spinoffs around other satellite officies, theNCIS franchise expanded in 2024 with its very first period show tackling Gibbs' start in the agency. Some of the foundational elements of NCIS: Origins were long-established in the flagship series, but one thing that was never even mentioned during Mark Harmon's time in the main procedural was his character's relationship to Lala.
