Now, the path for Tony DiNozzo Jr. and Ziva David to return to NCIS is fully clear. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are best-known for popularizing the star-crossed lovers in the CBS procedural. TheNCIS franchise used them as a blueprint for some of its major romances, regardless of other characters' circumstances. However, arguably, nothing has come close to the fan investment that Tony and Ziva got.
