Four major superhero movies hit theaters in 2025, and the one with the highest critical acclaim might be surprising. The year saw three MCU movies and the first DCU theatrical release under James Gunn. The first MCU movie was Captain America: Brave New World, which received mixed reviews with complaints about it seeming to be patched together.
