Decades ago, Syfy Channel’s New Year's Twilight Zone marathon used to be a sacred TV tradition, a yearly celebration of Rod Serling’s transformative sci-fi anthology. Now, in the streaming era, it is a shadow of its former self. Streaming hasn’t killed the marathon, but it has robbed it of what made it special.
