There's more to James Cameron's Avatarthan just the movies. Despite having only two mainline movies so far, Avatar is one of the highest-grossing franchises in cinematic history. Unlike Marvel, Star Wars, DC, or Harry Potter, Avatar achieved this feat without a large number of installments or decades of serialized storytelling. James Cameron’s world of Pandora reached unprecedented box office heights through sheer technical innovation and immersive worldbuilding.
