Even the most iconic movie franchises sometimes produce a movie that feels completely detached from what came before or after. Sometimes this is because a series is still finding its identity; other times it’s the result of creative experimentation, tonal shifts, or changing audience expectations. Whether for better or worse, they feel like oddities when viewed alongside their sibling installments.
