While promoting his new Netflix crime thriller The Rip, Matt Damon moved the conversation from the movie to his issue with the creative process in the age of streaming. According to Damon, Netflix has pushed writers to repeat key plot points in dialogue. The goal, he explained during The Joe Rogan Experience, is to make sure viewers who are distracted by their phones can still follow the story.
