When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, no franchise caused more skepticism than Alien. The series had built its reputation on brutal body horror, bleak futurism, and merciless violence. Seeing that legacy folded into the traditionally family-friendly House of Mouse felt unsettling. It seemed like an inevitable softening of edges, or worse, creative dilution. Alien: Romulus proved those fears entirely misplaced.
