Disney's Tron: Ares might not have fared particularly well in theaters, but it's absolutely killing it on streaming. The sci-fi film is part of a larger franchise that began in 1982. After that first hit film was released, Disney expanded the idea into an arcade game, further solidifying Tron's legacy. The 21st century—the age of reboots and legacy sequels—brought about two additional films. Tron: Legacy performed pretty well at the box office in 2010, but the same can't be said for the 2025 threequel.
