GoldenEye 007 is unquestionably one of the most iconic FPS games ever created, laying the groundwork for countless multiplayer games to come and proving that the genre could thrive on console. Released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, Rare's adaptation of the James Bond film arrived at a time when FPS titles were largely associated with PC gaming.
