While HBO's biggest fantasy franchise took a major risk by introducing an entirely new cast for its spinoff shows, their shared popularity proves that this was the right move for the hit series. HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter show will break numerous records with its budget, making the reboot the genre’s biggest small-screen project ever. While this might seem like a risky investment, it makes sense that HBO would be the network to bankroll the project thanks to its historic success in the fantasy genre.
