While Gary Larson’s The Far Side may not have a singular leading star character like Jim Davis’ Garfield, Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes, or even Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, the strip is legendary for having recurring themes, tropes, and characters. Among these recurring characters are Larson’s cavemen.
