Atheists Today was born after atheists.com was sold to a group near the beginning of 2008. The only purpose of the sale was to remove it from the internet.
So, in August of 2008, I purchased atheiststoday.com and atheiststoday.org. We initially ran the forum on the .com address and it did pretty well for awhile. But, we had a major database crash and the entire site when down in flames. Because of life and stuff, I didn't have the time to restart the forum right away and it sat for awhile. In 2022 I installed phpBB software and set up a basic forum, but didn't have the time to do any membership drives or advertisement of the reborn forum.
Now...I do.
So please make yourself at home and share this site with your friends. Both atheists.com and atheiststoday had great memberships in their heyday. It would be awesome to rebuild and honor their memories.
If you would like to become a part of this community, please feel free to start an introduction thread and say hello. There is more than enough space to grow. I've added 'members only' forums for those posts you'd rather just share with your friends, but still leaving all the public forums for guests to read that may entice them to join.
