There's been a worrying trend over recent months of egregious AI content making its way into video games. Ark: Aquatica was slammed for releasing a fully-AI trailer, as was The Alters for translating text using artificial intelligence, only to leave the prompts in the game, and games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and InZoi have used generative AI both in-game and in marketing. It's a trend that has seen thousands of people laid of from Microsoft, and an 800 percent increase in games using Gen AI on Steam.
