Super Metroid Remake: Why Nintendo Should Revive the Classic Metroidvania

With Nintendo finally giving the franchise some love in recent years, it seems like the right time to remake Super Metroid. Confusingly the third game in the franchise, Super Metroid is considered not only the best in the series, but also the gold standard for many Metroidvania titles. In many ways, Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are the titles many Metroidvanias draw from.
