Hollow Knight: Silksong's Putrified Ducts are a useful area to visit in Act 2, but they can be a bit tricky to find and navigate. You'll likely pass by a convenient entry point to the ducts relatively early in your exploration, but until you get the Faydown Cloak and gain the double jump ability, it won't be of much use to you.
