Showrunner Ross Duffer just revealed how many tickets have been sold for the Stranger Things series finale that will be screened in hundreds of movie theaters. Despite a lower Rotten Tomatoes audience score for the first seven episodes of Stranger Things season 5, anticipation is still sky high for the upcoming series finale, which will be released simultaneously in theaters and on Netflix at 8 p.m. EST on New Year's Eve, with additional showtimes on New Year's Day.
