Steve Rogers is confirmed to be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU)in Avengers: Doomsday, and while that news has led to plenty of fanfare, it shouldn't come as too big a shock. In truth, the MCU has been teasing this return for the last seven years.
