Tom Welling is open to joining the DC Universe as a major hero, but the Smallville star is not the best choice to play the character for a simple reason. Welling became famous for giving life to Clark Kent in ten seasons of Smallville. The Superman prequel series is easily one of the best live-action adaptations of the Man of Steel.
