In the 1990s, a plethora of bands broke through into the mainstream, but not all of them achieved the success they deserved. Of course, the idea of success can have different meanings. Some bands hope to end up like Rock and Roll Hall of Famers such as Green Day or AC/DC. Others worry less about the accolades and just want longevity like that of Coheed and Cambria, who just released their 11th studio album in 2025. Unfortunately, not every band gets exactly what they desire.
