Family Guy's Whodunit Parody Predates Rian Johnson's Knives Out Films

Nearly a decade before Rian Johnson would satirically subvert the tropes of the whodunit in Knives Out, Family Guy beat him to the punch. Johnson recently gave us another edition of Knives Out mystery theater, Wake Up Dead Man, and while it’s arguably the weakest Knives Out film to date, it still recaptures the uniquely tongue-in-cheek comic tone that made the previous two movies so delightful.
