The Masque of the Red Death movie receives an exciting new production update. In June 2025, it was reported that Mikey Madison, fresh off her Oscar win for Anora (2024), was in talks to star in A24's adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's 1842 short story, taking over the role from Sydney Sweeney, who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
