Marvel brings Eddie Brock and Venom back to basics, with a fresh start for the duo and for the symbiote's latest host. Within the span of forty-two years, Venom has evolved from a Spider-Man villain into an antihero with his own supporting cast and rogues' gallery. Venom's growth carried over into other media, as he's the main villain of Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 video game, and Sony built an entire live-action Venom movie trilogy that ends right before the titular symbiote got the chance to meet his creator, Knull.
